Re: Steelers de-Feet Jets; Will face Packers in Super Bowl.
I've always had a soft spot for the Steelers, but I just do not see them matching up well with the Packers. In a closed dome, without the elements, the Pittsburg secondary will be at a disadvantage. Defensively, I see as a slight advantage to Pittsburg in the front 7, but Green Bay has the advantage in the back 4. The Jets had Revis, but Revis couldn't cover everyone.
Its a game of matchup, and going through each one, the Packers edge out the Steelers on a neutral field.
34 - 17 Packers.

Re: Who wins the Super Bowl?
BTW - I'm going to pick the NFC North and the Packers. I think this game is all coming down to game planning and if the Pack does it right they win. Green Bay needs to dictate how the Steelers play defense, stay somewhat out of the middle and use their speed on the outside on the fast track of Jerry World. I'd run a ton of 3 and 4 wide sets, force Pitt into nickle and take away their aggressiveness. Once they do this, Rodgers will do a lot of damage throwing on the run and running with some wide open lanes as Pitts DBs have their backs turned.
Packers 31 Steelers 24

Re: Who wins the Super Bowl?
I would love to see Green Bay win, if nothing else so that the Lions can say they beat the Super Bowl winners during the regular season. I also would like to see that happen because having an accused rapist win the SB would make my stomach turn.
However, I think Pitt wins because of their defense, and the fact that the Pack offensive line and running game are sketchy, at best. They may have held up against Chicago, but I think the Steelers have a better defense than the Bears do.
I do agree with you Pablo. If Green Bay plans it right, and plays to their own strengths, it will work against the weaknesses in the Pitt defense.

Re: Who wins the Super Bowl?
Steelers have the #1 defense, but the # 1 group of recievers in a game on turf and inside gives the Pack the edge. The Steelers like to go deep also, but Charles Woodson and company have a complete secondary to actually stay with them. The Pack's defense is not too shabby either, but in most games where defense is the big draw, it usually ends up a high scoring affair, so we'll have to see. The Pack has struggled to run most the season but have been able to pass on just about everyone and their running game has stepped up in the post season. The Steelers have struggled to score points at times most the season, and have picked it up during the offseason. So we'll see who returns to regular season form or continues to play with the latest trends. It has a tendency to change on the big stage.

Re: Who wins the Super Bowl?
As much as I want to go with the NFC North, I think the Steelers pull out a really close game.

As much as I'd like to see Charles Woodson get a ring... I had to go Steelers on this.

Re: Who wins the Super Bowl?
I think that The steelers take it, if only because this is their 3rd showing to the show in 6 years. That whole team knows how to deal with all the press and addition pressures. That gives them an edge in a game I'd normally say would be won by the Pack.
