Do you guys feel Brandon Harris can start right away if we draft him?

He can start right now at Nickle, and possibly at #2, but really if you look at our issues in the secondary last year, it was the nickle spot, especially when we moved J. Wade there.

I think any corner the Lions take in the second and likely third will easily be one of the best two corners on our roster. It almost doesn't matter as 3 CBs will all see lots of playing time given how many 3 WR sets we will face. We have Houston, Smith and Vasher - certainly room for someone to go up that depth chart - and quickly.

I ultimately would like to see us stick to BPA but I think I would like Benjamin Ijalana the most. Our defensive front should mask our weaknesses in the back seven and attract players to fill those holes in free agency. Goz may not recover and Peterman did not play well last year. Ijalana can fill either of those spots.

Re: Poll - Who do you think the Lions take at 44?
board still reshuffling (rewatched highlight reels)
1. Ras-I Dowling - No one gets me more excited when I watch the video
2. Akeem Ayers - Love his playmaking ability
3. Bruce Carter - After revisiting the tape, I thought I saw a lack of effort I never noticed before, but he's the best athlete in the draft when healthy
4. DaQuan Bowers - After thinking about it, 32 teams passed on Bowers, and I know microfracture surgery is nothing to sneeze at. But... whereas the success rate of returning from microfracture surgery was literally 0% about 5 years ago, there are now success stories.. the most prominent one on my mind is Amare Stoudemire. And Basketball is way harder on a guys knees than football. I will take a chance on him if the above three are off the board.
5. Aaron Williams - I don't like his lack of top end speed meaning he may move to safety, but he's very instinctive and has good size
6. Brandon Harris - Mighty Mouse is a feel good player to me. I worry that he can be a legit starter in the league, but if he does, he be an amazing asset because I see true leadership qualities in him.
7. Rahim Moore - Has fallen off because he had to play more downhill as more of a SS and his stats suffered. But he had a huge year before, and I'm banking on his playmaking ability dropping into coverage. Him at FS and Delmas at SS would be ideal.
8. Mikel LeShoure - He's a beast of a running back, but I have to say I would prefer to take a back later in the draft. But there's no doubt that he could be our feature back. I just hate to change the identity of our team by taking the ball out of Best's hands. I would rather Best be our Chris Johnson, and we get bruiser late when we need a yard or two.
