 Re: Kuester Out...
What about doing a NFL type move and go after the Coach from Butler Bulldogs. He's proven himself to be a legit coach, and with the right cash, he might make a jump.

I wouldn't want to throw him into the hell-hole of a team that is the current Detroit Pistons. Making the transition from the NCAAs to the NBA is hard enough without dealing with a collection of individuals that isn't a team, and a host of inmates that are used to running the asylum. I would like to see Bill Laimbeer get a shot. IMO he has the right amount of no-nonsense about him to deal with these rejects. Hopefully we can deal Rip before the start of the season.

I was pissed when they didn't hire Laimbeer in the first place.
Hire him and give whatever he needs to turn this lousy team into a winner.

Re: Kuester Out for Pistons... Who's Next?
I have wanted Laimbeer as the Pistons HC for the last 2 coaching hires. I also want Rick Mahorn as his assistant. If they can't toughen up the Pistons, no-one can.

Re: Kuester Out for Pistons... Who's Next?
This team does need some toughening up, but since the 'Stones have been using no experience hacks like Curry and Kuester, I think they need a guy with HC experience. Word is they're going to tender Stuckey and it appears he has no respect for guys who haven't been HC's before. Kelvin Sampson, Laimbeer, Mahorn, etc are those guys who even though they've done things at different levels of hoops, he won't respect.
I would prefer to see Mike Woodson or Lawrence Frank get a shot at it.
I don't think that this team is going anywhere soon, though.

well..ok I realize Im talkin about women here, but Lambeer WAS a HC...and a Championship winnning HC too...If Stucky can't accept that he can hit the road, he isnt that good for crying out loud. I would LOVE to give Lambeer a shot with the Pistons.

Re: Kuester Out for Pistons... Who's Next?
I agree with everyone on Stuckey; I think he's garbage too. The problem is that they're bringing him back. He feuded with Kuester and is not happy about getting put in his place by him. He's obviously the problem, but Joe D is bringing him back, for whatever reason. Unless he gets the riot act read to him, I can't see him changing his ways. In a perfect world they would ship him out for a true point guard that can run the point and get Rip and Gordon their shots and distribute the ball to the big men. Stuckey hasn't been handled correctly, and he's a tweener that will never sniff an all star game. But we're stuck with him, and he's either going to play for the new coach, or mail it in and hurt his FA chances, which I wouldn't put past him.
Laimbeer was a HC with women, but that's a much different game. It's played below the rim with inferior athletes and does not even compare to the NBA game. I wouldn't mind having Laimbeer, but I'm just a little hesitant about him, that's all.

Laimbeer has demonstrated the ability to get them to play as a team for a common goal.
