 Lofa Tatupu to be released?
Whoa. Per Adam Schefter's twitter:
After Seahawks asked LB Lofa Tatupu to take a paycut, he asked them to release him. The team now plans to do so, albeit reluctantly.

They're set at starting ILB for their defense right now. I don't see Tatupu accepting a back up role. Look for him to sign with a team running a 43.

Re: Lofa Tatupu to be released?
ESPN reports he jas narrowed down his team choices to Chicago (suck! that makes them have the best LB'r squad in the NFL) the Redskins (they'll likley overpay for him) and another unnamed team.
I really really hope he doesn't end up a bear. But I can see them wanting him cuz he's still fairly young and Urlacher isn't anymore.

I hope he doesn't go to Chicago too, obviously. I'm surprised they let him go, but his play has tailed off a bit from his first two seasons in the league. Maybe it's because of the team being worse. Would playing behind the Bears DL net him more tackles then Washington? probably.
