 Re: Killer's Korner
I didn’t know where to post this at but in the Monday Morning QB Peter King had an interesting fact about the Lion’s last year. Detroit last year used shotgun on 64 percent of offensive snaps, the highest rate in NFL history. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/w ... z1WWdFTZueCould that be a reason why our sack totals were so low? I don’t really know what this means in the grand scheme of things but I still found it interesting.

With so many 3-4 wideout sets and less fullbacks, you would think more teams both run and pass out of the shotgun. Also, look at all the colleges that work out of the shotgun - you would think more of that would flow into the pro game. I'm guessing because more defenses play the Tampa-2 might have something to do with it. With Stafford at QB, you would think the Lions would run the shotgun more than last year as they will be looking further downfield. If the Lion get up near 70% of snaps out of the shotgun and have some success, expect to see a lot of other teams going to it more.

 Re: Killer's Korner
I agree, we are transitioning from a 3-7 step drop timing route, west coast, offense type league to a pass happy league with 3-4 WR sets. I agree, it is smar to be able to pull college talent if you are running the same offense as well.

Kowalski's Privey! I think he would like something like that. Got it from the John Wayne movie "Green Berets"

 Re: Killer's Korner
I drafted the d when the defense rush started.. My friends called me a homer, but honestly, it's one of the best defenses in the league.
