Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
First player in the NFL to get a second 100 million dollar contract I believe. Not sure if one season warrants this but it is what it is. I guess he can start paying off some of his creditors, I heard something today that he owes 19 million to various groups/individuals.

Article gives some specifics on that.

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
Didn't he get in a little trouble after his last $100M deal?

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
The last year or his deal is voided if he plays 35% of the snaps in any deal, so it automatically drops to $80million. Just another contract to make the agent look like he got one of his guys more than he did. Also, I think this saves the Eagles on cap space this year, but Vick himself would have gotten more if he would have played this year and next on the franchise tag.

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
I think it's a ridiculous contract....and not because of Vick's legal history. No doubt the guy is a great athlete, but that doesn't make him a great QB. I don't see him being worthy of being paid, on average, over $16M per year. That's just insane.

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
Playing like he did last year he is worth it. Statistically speaking his year was rediculous considering he onyl started 12 games.

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
With his style and the Eagle's line 12 games a year is likely all you're going to get from him. Last season was off the charts for him, but I would have looked for more of the same this year before offering the big money.

Re: Vick Gets $100 Million Deal
Whether it's worth it or not is a bit subjective. Especially considering that he's not going to get $100M. Not even close. From what I've read, he'll actually get less than $40M, which is not bad considering what NFL salaries are.

I heard the reduced figures of it actually being about $80M with $35-$40 guaranteed which is more reasonable.
