Wjb and Wags, you guys are both wrong. The tax forms and booklets haven't even been printed yet since the IRS doesn't know which rules will be in place by the end of the year. The Jobs Bill and the Debt Commission could both change the tax code before then, so the printing presses are on hold, much like last year with the extension of the Bush tax cuts lasting well into December. Therefore, adding one line to tax forms will not cost millions. Did you hear that on MSNBC or something?

With that said, I agree that it's a political stunt and people are already able to send extra money to the government if they wish. This just makes it a little bit easier for people like Warren Buffett to do so. Additionally, this is no more disingenuous than anything Obama does every time he opens his mouth. IMO, it's about damn time that the Republicans start playing his game and gives him a taste of his own medicine.

I can't imagine our government being able to change any sort of form, even a damn change of address form, and not spend millions to do it. After all, it has to be designed, worded properly, approved, printed, revised, blah blah blah... We don't do ANYTHING efficiently, that's the problem Max Webber would be PISSED
