 NEED HELP! My son and I heading to our first Loins game at Ford Field. Is there tail gating? How early can we get in? any good places to eat? andy cool traditions or other things to see you before the game in after the game?

Re: NEED HELP! Parking = free at eastern market. Little bit off walk (10-15 mins)
Eats = new Parthenon (Greek food, get the pastitso)
Tail gating = unless you want to pay a bunch for parking ($20+) and still walk about 10 mins, you'd be better off at eastern market

I thought you needed to pay or you would get towed out without a ticket on your dash???? Pay $20+ and still walk 10min??? I always park on adams street right by commerica park and walk 200 yrds or so. Ya over $20 but worth it to me, cannot walk real far with my knees + all the beverages I consume before hand. frok

And I once seen him walk from the Eastern Market. LOL.

Re: NEED HELP! I've parked at eastern market about 50 times for tigers and lions games and passed many cops, never paid a dime, never gotten towed. Also, never saw any signs for pay parking in any lot I've parked in.
FYI, 400 yards is roughly 1/3 mile, so $20 for 1/3 mile walk (a few blocks) is not uncommon. If you can find cheaper, it's likely not a secure lot.
