That one was dumb. I hope there will be far better ads than that.

Hmm, apparently not fans of the 80s eh? Some of us 'old' (*cough*) folks enjoy the nostalgic angle...I read there were something like 25 references to the movie in the commercial.....eh, to each his own

I love that ad. But I am a huge fan of Ferris, so there's that.

Yes, I saw Ferris Buhler's Day Off and I enjoyed it. I just thought that commercial was lame.

Re: Super Bowl Ads
The entire commercial was a reference to the movie. There's so many part of the original movie redone it's almost too much to count.

Re: Super Bowl Ads
This was, perhaps, my favorite Super Bowl Ad:
USA Today wrote:
Feb 07, 2012 Clint Eastwood: 'No spin' on Super Bowl ad
Clint Eastwood's Chrysler ad is one of the most talked-about commercials of the Super Bowl.
Some saw it as a political ad, supporting the White House decision to bail out certain carmakers with taxpayer money. But late Monday, Eastwood, 81, said that was not his intention.
"I am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama," Eastwood told Fox News Channel. "I am not supporting any politician at this time."
"There is no spin in that ad. On this I am certain," Eastwood told The O'Reilly Factor producer Ron Mitchell. "It was meant to be a message about job growth and the spirit of America. I think all politicians will agree with it. ... If Obama or any other politician wants to run with the spirit of that ad, go for it."
Eastwood also said he donated his pay for the ad to charity.

To be honest, these were the worst Super Bowl ads I've ever seen. Maybe five good ones in the entire bunch. Even Budweiser disappointed.

Could it been since the game was on NBC?

What does that have to do with anything? NBC doesn't make the ads.

Re: Super Bowl Ads
NBC didn't have anything to do with it. No Bud Bowl, no Bud frogs, no Miller Lite catfights, no office linebacker, no Mean Joe Greene, no nothing truly memorable. Just lame all around. Sorry.
