 Stanford Routt?
Was released by Oak. Anyone think he would be a smart pickup for us?

 Re: Stanford Routt?
If I'm the Lions, I hold off. There are some pretty good corners set to become free agents, possibly. Carlos Rogers, Brandon Carr, Brent Grimes, Cortland Finnegan....all guys the Lions could be interested in.
Routt would be a coverage improvement over Wright, if they did decide to sign him, that's for sure.

 Re: Stanford Routt?
I believe Richard Marshall only signed a one year deal with Arizona, he was the CB I wanted them to go after last year and hope they do so this year. He is a good man coverage CB and is one of the better CBs coming up and stopping the run.

 Re: Stanford Routt?
He's an improvement over Wright, but I would prefer Cortland Finnegan or Brandon Carr. Unfortunately, the Lions might not have the cap space available to sign any of them. I think it will come down to either re-signing Cliff Avril or a top FA CB. I don't see how they can do both.

 Re: Stanford Routt?
Routt was the reason the Raiders felt ok about letting Scrabble go last year. He is the best CB in the market now.
Correct me if I'm wrong about this. But, I think any team can immediately sign anyone that gets cut. They don't have to wait until FA opens up. Or has that changed in the new CBA?

 Re: Stanford Routt?
Yea, Routt can sign with any team right now. In fact, he's already scheduled visits with the Bills and the Titans.
