 Re: 1st Round Pick
Adam Schefter just tweeted that the Lions are among the teams who have made/received calls to discuss trading DOWN.

If that's true--if there are multiple teams wanting to trade down--then that's good news for any team trying to trade up. The Lions can essentially shop for the best trade-up deal and pull the trigger if Barron (or whomever) falls to the right spot.
One thing we know for sure about Mayhew--he doesn't get fleeced in trades. If the Lions trade up in this draft, I expect it will be a relatively good bargain. I hope. I really dont want to give up the farm....but i do love Barron.

 Re: 1st Round Pick
Lions could go either way, up for a CB, or down if there's no top flight player available when they pick. I'd prefer to move out of the first altogether if they do trade down, but get top 5 in second round and maybe a one for next year? Depends on what they want to give up.

WOW.
Id be excited as hell to get Mark Barron. But we can forget about next years first round pick, thats for sure. pick 32 is virtually a 2nd rounder... What are you saying. Hes Saying SUPERBOWL BABY ! But yeah, I dont expect that but I would expect next years pick to be in the bottom 12 of rd 1 just like this years, meaning trading it away to go get Barron isnt the end of the world. Id feel perfectly comfotable going into next year with Barron and Delams as the Safety tandem as long as we still get a Starting level corner (even a retread stopgap) for this season.
