It's taken from someone who already lives on the plantation (Illinois) and is green with envy because Wisconsin is now in the black on it's budgets, and has chosen to keep the ideas of their current govenor who is bringing Wisconsin back.

Not to mention the shear beauty of the State, as compared to, oh I don't know, Chicago. I'll take Wisconsin any day! Chicago is loud, dirty, filled with graffiti, trash, and a rude big city attitude.

No worries, theirs still hope that one day he will see the light! :p
With respect, what are you talking about???

Sorry, it was a weak attempt at being funny! I.E. discredited Wisconsin, and so I was saying that his discredit was coming from someone who lived on the plantation, (State of Illinois, the State of Entitlement) and so on and so forth.

Let's just say that it sounded funny in my head, but didn't translate well.

I think I need to upgrade my filters...

Wags,

Would you be willing to check this lady out? She ran for State Rep in 10 for California but didn't make it. She's well known, and well respected, and has been on Hannity as well as some other shows. She actually interviewed Paul Ryan about 3 years ago, and according to her latest post, is sharing a copy of the interview. See what you think and let me know.

I don't know what that's supposed to mean. I happen to like Wisconsin a lot. It's like a more Conservative Michigan. Virtually same weather and stuff going on.

You're not from Illinois, are you? "Cheeseheads" is not an affectionate term. lol

A "more conservative MI"... I don't consider that a good thing - and in my experience they're conservative in the wrong way (socially, and not fiscally). Plus- there are Packers & their fans there.

But anyway - that was just a joke, if it wasn't obvious.

All big cities have big-city problems, Warrior - but Chicago is a tremendous, world-class city.

I hate Chicago. That's why I live in the burbs... The bulk of the city is nice, but the south side is like the taint of America. Oh, and cubs fans ruin it (everything) for everyone.

Also, Wisconsin is by far a nicer state than Illinois. Sure, the bigger cities like Milwaukee are crap, but the state overall is much more livable. IL is about one step up from Missouri. There's a few nice areas, but the bulk of the state is flat, crappy farm land.

Wisconsin has a lot of farm land, but at least they have lakes and hills. I have to drive 35-40 mins to get to a real lake here in northern IL.

IE: I've been to both several times, and I guess your perspective of World Class needs a definition.

There are things to do and see, and even eat but you weigh that against the throng of pan handlers, rudeness, traffic, smog, trash, graffiti, homeless, gangs, violence, crime and other stuff and it just doesn't interest me.

But you also have to keep in mind that I'm one of those people who prefers the wilderness, so I don't travel into the city too much. It is overwhelming at times.

Wags,

Here was what I wanted you to see via Urban Cure, I'll copy and paste and try to get the link to work.

Last September, I sat down with Congressman Paul Ryan, now Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States, to get his thoughts about what we need to do to get America back on track.

I hope you can take a few minutes to listen to the interview.

Although Ryan is best known as chairman of the House Budget Committee, I learned from him that he understands that behind today’s economic and budget crisis is a moral crisis.

He understands that capitalism, moral behavior and healthy families are critical to our nation’s future.

As Ryan told me, “one thing government can do is not make things worse.”

This has been my message and CURE’s message since our beginning.

I wanted Paul Ryan to sit down with me because I know that his message needs to get into our low income and hard hit communities. If our nation will have a future, in order to restore prosperity, low income and minority Americans must understand their stake rebuilding healthy American capitalism. They need to understand that no, government is not their friend.

I’m writing to you because I’ve got to have your help in order to succeed.

Organizations like the NAACP, Urban League, and National Council of La Raza get hundreds of millions of dollars a year to tell low income Americans to fight against change and to demand more, not less, big government.

Through CURE and our nationwide pastor network, I’m alone fighting to tell low income Americans the truths about government and family that Paul Ryan is talking about.

The left will do anything to keep power and use government and socialism to enslave and impoverish America.

It is vital, as the vicious attacks and lies from the left on the reforms Ryan is championing start, that CURE keep its pastors informed about what is true.

Obamacare will place another 60 million people into Medicaid, a system that is already bankrupting states and underserving the poor. A new study shows that one of three doctors refuse Medicaid patients.

Pastors must also understand that a growing economy is essential for low income workers. Black unemployment is twice the national average. We must fight tax increases and cut government spending and debt to get our economy growing again.

LOL no worries, it's just that without quoting who you were responding to, I wasn't sure what you were talking about.

I watched the Ryan interview. What's to say? He says a lot of good stuff, but he doesn't lay out his plan or policy on HOW to do what he's talking about. It's no different that the discussions we've had here, really. Its just talk IMO.

As for Star herself, I know you've posted her stuff here before, but other than that I know nothing about her.

Sadly yes, way too similar...

This is not a thread jack

but what is going on in this country is following the path laid out for humanity, and so we (the U.S.) must fall in order for the other prophecies to come about. If you are curious we can take this discussion elsewhere, but as for the Coke or Pepsi, they will both follow the plan.

Something came out yesterday when I heard a GVS interview of Palin and it's quite striking.

At present, Biden is proving himself to be the buffoon the rest of the country has known him to be for a while. He is doing more damage to his current ticket, just by opening his mouth. Palin said, Obama needs to replace him on the ticket. WHAT!!!!

SHUT UP! If Obama follows suit and does replace the idiot, Hillary is the best choice, and that makes the doomsday ticket a stronger ticket than R squared.

Me too. If you don't mind my asking, who are you leaning towards at this point? I haven't made my mind up yet, have to look closer at Gary Johnson...wonder if he has a running mate yet?

Im in the same boat as you. Im pretty undecided. In the past I would generally gravitate towards the libertarian party, but i have not done a bit of homework on em this election yet, so im reeally unsure as of now. I just know that im sick of the same old crap....

Yup, read about that. In fact, it looks as though Palin herself recommended Hillary:
Quote:
“There weren’t enough groans and boos when he said such a disgusting comment, really, especially to a demographic there that includes 48 percent of the community being black Americans,” Palin said Tuesday night. “Greta, if that’s not the nail of the coffin. Really the strategists there in the Obama campaign have got to look at a diplomatic way of replacing Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary.

“And I don’t want to throw out that suggestion and have them actually accept the suggestion because then an Obama/Clinton ticket would have a darn good chance of winning. But really Joe Biden really drags down that ticket,” Palin added.

This has me wondering, when was the last time an incumbent Pres changed VPs???
