Votes That Really Matter: Michigan Ballot Proposals
I would argue that how you vote on the ballot measures is going to directly influence your life much more than your vote for president. (see the Coke v Pepsi topic)
So what are your thoughts and how are you voting? For me:
Proposal 1: Yes. I'm in favor of emergency financial managers for a variety of reasons. Many of these municipalities have shown their incredible ineptitude when it comes to managing themselves, and ultimately, an EM is probably more fair than an all-powerful bankruptcy judge.
Proposal 2: No. I'm not in favor of collective bargaining for public workers as they work in a monopoly industry (Neither was FDR).
Proposal 3: No. I don't want to pay more for my power. Any positive effect on the environment would be laughably negligible.
Proposal 4: No. Not against private unions, but I don't see why they need their own amendment to the constitution.
Proposal 5: Yes. No desire to pay additional taxes. If it's really needed, they'll be able to get the 2/3 vote.
Proposal 6: No. Matty Maroon is behind this whole scheme to protect his monopoly. I think anyone who votes in favor of Prop 6 is a fool.

I think I'm in total agreement with you, but I'm not sure what Prop 5 even is.
I have to wonder if the placement on the ballot, in the middle of a bunch of likely "nos" is intentional?

5 would require a 2/3 vote to increase taxes. Pretty straightforward I think.

Anyone care to share what these Proposals are for, for those of us not living in Mi?
