Post Suh is accused of sideswiping a car, leaving scene
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... -accident/

Quote:
According to FOX 2 in Detroit, Steve Vines claims that Suh sideswiped Vines’ car, left the scene of the accident, and then yelled at Vines at a stoplight.

Vines says he called Dearborn, Michigan police, who told him to go to the team’s practice facility and wait for them to arrive. So that’s what Vines did.

“That’s when [Suh] said, ‘I advise you to leave, now,’” Vines said. “And I said, ‘I’m not going anywhere. I talked to the police.’ [He said], ‘I don’t care what they said. You need to get out of here.’ And then he said, ‘I’m advising you to leave, now.’”

Police reportedly are investigating.

+1....IF the story proves to be true.

He should have his license revoked, and the Lions need to start thinking about life without him. I'm not saying that they should release him right now. But if this string of behavior continues, they need to consider their next steps after his contract is up.

I was worried when we drafted him and he proclaimed that his biggest hero was Haynsworth. From the stomping to acting stupid in public, he's starting to really act like the guy...

Cutting him wouldn't make sense. But he needs a huge wake-up call. From his behavior to-date, it might be that he just isn't willing to wake up. I wonder if he has some kind of a personality disorder like Brandon Marshall that needs to be treated. I'm serious.

If the Lions continue to lose, a guy like this might go off the deep end... something to watch. He's already probably frustrated, or there is something else wrong - because he's been playing terribly in addition to things like this (and you know there is almost certainly more we aren't hearing about). The way he's playing now, he may be the worst DT in the NFCN. He is not the guy who was playing in '10. And he wasn't last year either.

Lions' Ndamukong Suh won't be ticketed in car accident

Dearborn Police say their investigation into a traffic accident involving Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is closed, and no tickets will be issued to either party.

"The investigation is closed," the department said in a released statement. "It was a minor traffic accident in which fault cannot be determined and there will be no charges to either party."

Stephen Vines, 43 of Livonia, said Suh sideswiped his 1999 Ford Escort about 6:20 a.m. Thursday, as he was driving to work along the Southfield Freeway. Vines said Suh didn’t stop after the accident and grew angry after he followed him to the Lions' practice facility.

“What it comes down to is it was an arrogance thing, in my eyes,” Vines said Thursday. “It was just pure arrogance. ‘Get out of my way, or I’m going to make you move.’ And then, ‘I’m too good to sit here and wait. I’m going to leave, you guys can come find me.’”

Vines guessed that his car suffered $500-$2,000 worth of damage.

"Only because it’s front-wheel drive, and he smashed the front end -- it’s making noises," he said. “It’s, basically, from the driver's side mirror forward, all caved in. The rim’s bent a little bit, my hubcap’s destroyed. I can take my hand and stick it between the front quarter panel and the door all the way down. I can make a fist in between there. It’s hard opening the door, of course. It now whistles when you’re driving."

Suh has not commented on the accident and is practicing today, but he wrote on Twitter this morning, "Blessed to be at work today and ready to finish phase 1 of physical part of week! #GLADTOHAVENONOFMYTAILLIGHTSBROKENTHISMORNING"

Suh has been involved in at least three other traffic incidents since the Lions took him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

As a rookie, he was involved in a two-car accident when a Honda Civic struck his Land Rover as he drove through a Royal Oak intersection. Police ticketed the driver of the Civic.

Last December, while he was home in Oregon, serving a two-game suspension for stomping an opponent, Suh lost control of his 1970 Chevrolet Coupe and hit a tree, a light pole and a drinking fountain. He was sued this summer for more than $1 million by a passenger in the car.

And in March, Suh was ticketed for doing 91 m.p.h. in a 55-m.p.h. zone on an Oregon freeway.

Suh also was ticketed for negligent driving during his final season at Nebraska, when he reportedly sideswiped three parked cars.

He most definitely has a personality disorder. You won't catch me at any of his twitter meetups at subway.

The fact that he's not getting ticketed is ridiculous. He hit the guy and left the scene. That alone is an offense punishable by prison time, let alone getting ticketed for it.

Slowly but surely I am starting to develop a pure dislike for Suh.

You don't know that Suh hit the other guy. You don't know that the other guy hit Suh. Neither do the cops. When they can't tell who is at fault, they can't just issue a ticket. It's a he said, he said issue. This guy could just be a psychopath looking for a payday.

That said, I am not defending Suh. I don't know either. But, since the cops couldn't tell who was lying. How can we.

Billy, don't give me that. The police can recreate accidents, and do it all the time. They can determine who hit who if they really want to. This is a case of sweeping it under the rug, pure and simple.
