Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
run it on 1st n goal from the 1 what an idea. I was waiting on them to force 4 straight to calvin
Looking good so far except Logan who needs to be cut. He is no good for us right now. I could go back there and let punts roll by me for much less money if they wnat that.

I understand this is Jacksonville, BUT..
Very pleased with this team on both sides of the ball. Not to mention on the road.
Lets put together an equally good second half.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
we have 4 starters out on defense so to shutout any nfl team in a half is pretty impressive, and actually the Jags were playing pretty good lately. Gabbert had over 300 yards last week vs the packers and been playing teams tough

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
But, I would like to see SOME sort of pass rush. Gabbert has had all day to throw.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
im ok with the lack of pass rush because our run defense has been pretty damn good this year. Last year we'd get an insane rush, then they hand it off and there is no one to stop the runner. There has to be a medium
edit: or should i say much improved run defense, it's no where near being real good yet but improvement is big

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
Also I think our pass rush has been better than stats appear, we haven't been getting the sacks or even the hurries we did the past few years, but i think they are collapsing the pocket better this year which is making it harder for the qbs to throw

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
Finally! It's nice to see them finally dominate another team when they should. There's really no reason why they can't or shouldn't be 6-2 or 7-1 right now. They need to put the Vikings in their place (NFC Cellar) next week.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Jaguars
Broyles with another 52 yards...shaping up to be a solid pick.
Also want to give props to Jonte Green. I've been tough on the kid, but for a 6th rounder from a small school, it's really been trial by fire. Good for him for holding up.
