Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Texans (Thanksgiving Day)
Anyone else notice how we have been mocking the refs by running after the play?

Same. Old. Refs?
If the lions dont find a way to surrender a W we can always count on the refs lending a helping hand.
Still ready for Linehan to go. 40 yd deep passes on 3rd and 10. When all you need is a FG to win is retarded.
Sigh

Sigh That one was on Stafford, I think. Got greedy--a check down would have gotten to FG range.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Texans (Thanksgiving Day)
The only positives I see 1. Ryan Broyles should be a solid player. 2. Good draft pick. 3. This is the silver lining, we will have an easy schedule next year and come back with a vengeance against the leauge that clearly looks for ways to keep up down

Never thought being a lions fan would give me health problems.

I just wonder if we will see this same intensity the rest of the season now that they are out of the playoff hunt.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Texans (Thanksgiving Day)
Are we gonna discuss the elephant in the room...mainly the fact that Hanson can no longer be counted on. Plus he is all but incapable of achieving touchbacks
Also, Brandon Pettigrew is a giant stinky pu$$y. Softest TE in the NFL

Pettigrew lets the team down everytime he suits up I think it's safe to add TE to the growing list of Lions needs for 2013. I thought Pettigrew turned the corner last year but his hands/ball security are worse than ever.

Re: GAME DAY THREAD: Lions vs. Texans (Thanksgiving Day)
The Lions outplayed the Texans and were robbed on two bad calls--the muffed punt on Houston that was reviewed but not called as a muff, and the BS "we can't review it now" Houston touchdown.
I think we should be encouraged. This team does have some talent and they've shown they can stand up to the likes of Chicago, Green Bay, and Houston. The ball just hasn't bounced their way this year and they've been beaten by some crappy special teams play.
It's looking like they'll be drafting around 8-14 and will have the last place schedule next year (Carolina, Eagles, Rams).
