STORM THE HILL: #ENDTHEVABACKLOG

WHAT IS "STORM THE HILL"?
Storm the Hill (STH) is IAVA's premier leadership development program. Since 2006, we have brought dozens of IAVA Member Veterans from across the country to Washington, DC, to advocate for their fellow vets for a week in March. During the program, they use the power of their personal stories to talk with - and influence - our country's decision-makers - on both sides of the aisle - about the issues facing our community.

In the lead up to STH, participants receive a wide array of training to prepare them for a week of on-the-ground advocacy. This year we have broadened our scope and expanded from just ground "Stormers" into a unit of "Swarmers" strategically placed across the country to maximize impact. These "Swarmers" will enhance IAVA's advocacy efforts by activating their local communities to support the cause.

PRIMARY ISSUE: #ENDTHEVABACKLOG
VA Disability benefits provide care and compensation for injured vets.
But vets wait too long for their benefits which has a devastating impact on their lives and families.
Despite major investment at the VA, the problem is growing, not getting better.
We need Presidential leadership to fix the problem.
They fought for us. They shouldn't have to fight for benefits.
