Calvin Johnson was not the only high-priced member of the Detroit Lions who agreed to restructure his contract last week to help the team free up some room under the salary cap.

Ndamukong Suh's re-renegotiated deal created $7.68 million in additional cap space. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, he again agreed to a minor tweak in his contract that has created nearly $3.5 million in cap space for the Lions in 2013.

Suh was scheduled to earn $17 million in cash compensation this season, including a $5 million base salary and a $12 million option bonus, and he will still earn that much money as the re-renegotiation took place after the Lions had already picked up the option bonus.

With the newfound cap space, the Lions are expected to adjust Nate Burleson and Dominic Raiola's salaries back to the levels they were at before both players took high profile paycuts earlier in the offseason. The Lions also clarified today in Allen Park that they are not in the market for Tracy Porter, Michael Bush, or Mario Manningham.

Oh my goodness... I'm lost. Were NB and DR's paycuts just momentarily so they could get some FAs, kick the can down further then pay them again?

I heard he just restructured for a 3rd time, this time to add an olympic size pool to the Lions training facility so he can continue to practice his diving. There is also rumor of a 4th restructure to pay for asphalt to add a lap around the entire facility so he can practice his driving as well.
