Dragon Mead Final Absolution is alright, and i don't mind their Eric the Red, but Kunhen's beers blow them away. Of all the local breweries, Kuhnen is the only one that regulaly wins anything in the world beer cup.
I really like Atwater's Vanilla Java Porter. I tend to like stouts and porters, I'm not big on overly hoppy IPAs. Since I work at the GM Tech Center, I've been to Kuhnhenn's more than a couple times. I agree, very good beer there. Their seasonal beers are pretty good, particularly in the fall. The girls working there tend to be pretty good looking as well (which helps). Outside of that, Frankenmuth Brewery has a really good Weissbier (wheat beer), as well as a pretty good IPA. Import wise, I prefer Spaten or Warsteiner. Hacker-Psorr is garbarge, in my opinion. My wife says that the Augustiner in Germany is awesome, but what they have available there isn't exported to the U.S.

One of my favorite summer beers. Yeah, I've had that one. I belong to a German club (my wife is part German) and we serve it there. For those into dark beers, there is a Spaten Dunkel (dark) that I like, and I'm not a big dark beer fan. It isn't as bitter as most dark beers, much smoother flavor with a subtle hint of smokiness.

 Re: Beer
I drink Bud, the King of Beers. However, the best beer I ever drank was from a monastery outside WildChicken in Germany. Those that have been stationed there know what I'm talking about.
