 Roster Predictions?
QB - Stafford/Hill
Any reason to keep Kellen Moore? I think not. If there s an injury Thaddeus Lewis could be picked up at that point.
TB - Bush/LeShoure/Bell/Riddick
Riddick is the ?, I dont see a lot of high end potential but he might stick for a year or two.
FB - Owens
Makes it because of special teams work
TE - Pettigrew/Scheffler/M. Williams
Fauria on the outside looking in.
WR - Johnson/Burleson/Broyles/Edwards/Willis
Fuller to the practice squad. Terrence Austin gets beat out barely.
OT - Reiff/Fox/Hilliard/Waddle
Hilliard can be a swing tackle or guard in a pinch. Waddle is a developmental player with great lateral movement.
OG - Sims/Scott/Austin/Warford
C - Raiola/Gandy
Gandy has been good at guard and has experience at C.
DE - Ansah/Jones/Idonije/Lewis/Taylor
Someone s getting cut at DE and Willie Young has struggled. Jones and Idonije can play DT in pinch. Lewis is better on ST and does some things at DE better than Young does.
DT - Suh/Fairley/Mosley/Bannan
I could see CJ Mosley getting cut based on my dissatisfaction with his play. Jones/Idonije can rush from inside if needed at times.
OLB - Levy/McIntosh/Whitehead/Greenwood
MLB - Tulloch/Palmer
Either Whitehead or T. Lewis will get cut unless they step it up. Palmer hasnt been playing well enough to start but he s a proven ST player as is Greenwood.
CB - Houston/Slay/Bentley/Bartell/Green/
Chris Greenwood not healthy enough to show anything, how long can they hold on to him?
S - Quinn/Delmas/Mathis/Carey/Wendling
P - Martin K - Akers LS - Muhlbach

 Re: Roster Predictions?
After preseason week 3
QB - Stafford/Hill/Moore
Moore finally showed something, gotta think he s more of a lock now than he was even last season. Thad Lewis will need a huge game vs Buffalo to unseat Kellen.
HB - Bush/Bell/LeShoure/Riddick
Bell looks like the clear No 2 and Riddick has shown some versatility. Montell Owens injury looked like an ACL which opens a spot.
WR - Johnson/Burleson/Broyles/Willis/Spurlock
Patrick Edwards hasnt produced despite a lot of snaps with the first team, Spurlock hasnt been a world beater but he can catch it if needed and has had the best returns.
TE - Pettigrew/Scheffler/Fauria
Williams may be IR'd with upcoming hand surgery.
OT - Reiff/Fox/Waddle/Hilliard
Waddle has played well while Fox and Hilliard have struggled.
OG - Sims/Warford/Scott/Austin
Austin may not make this cut as LeRoy Harris has some experience but Im kind of puzzled as to why Warford seems to be ahead of Scott in the mind of the Lions coaches.
C - Raiola/Gandy
LS - Don Muhlbach K - Akers
Just stop with the Rugland comments, Akers is a decorated veteran and shown a very strong leg this preseason.
P - Martin
Doing great especially at Ford Field
DE - Jones/Ansah/Idonije/Lewis/Taylor
Will they cut Willie Young?
DT - Suh/Fairley/Bannan/Mosley
Bannan a nice add late in camp
MLB - TUlloch
OLB - Levy/Palmer/Whitehead/T. Lewis/McIntosh
none of the OLBs have looked very good
CB - Houston/Slay/Bentley/Green/Greenwood
S - Quinn/Delmas/Carey/Wendling/Mathis

 Re: Roster Predictions?
Pretty nice rundown Legend. With the 2 Injuries, and Patrick edwards play, if you didnt hit the nail on the head its going to be very very close to this IMO.

 Re: Roster Predictions?
Owen's knee is a short-term injury. Most likely meniscus. He was walking in the locker room today while holding his crutches, so good news there.

 Re: Roster Predictions?
Greenwood is way behind everyone and Green looks bad at CB, so I could see Hope getting kept over one of them with Mathis primarily playing CB instead of safety.

QB - Stafford/Hill/Moore RB - Bush/Bell/LeShoure TE - Pettigrew/Scheffler/Fauria/Chapas WR - Johnson/Burleson/Broyles/Willis/Spurlock OT - Reiff/Fox/Hilliard/Waddle OG - Sims/Warford/Scott/Gandy OC - Raiola/Austin
DT - Suh/Fairley/Mosley/Bannan DE - Ansah/Young/Jones/Idonije/Taylor LB - Lewis/Tulloch/Levy/Palmer/Whitehead/McIntosh/ CB - Houston/Bartell/Slay/Mathis/Bentley S - Quin/Delmas/Wendling/Carey
ST - Muhlbach/Martin/Akers
That's 52 players. They may keep one spot open just in case someone gets hurt, but isn't put on IR. The Lions have done that before, so they can sign a replacement without having to release someone.
I think Michael Williams, Corey Fuller, Brandon Hepburn, Patrick Edwards and Theo Riddick get put on PS. I believe the Lions may decide to keep Shaun Chapas on the roster as the occasional fullback, because Reggie Bush is not a between the tackles runner and seems to do better with a lead blocker in the game. Fauria isn't as good of a blocker as Williams, but he is a far more versatile player and can be used either as an inside TE or as a slot receiver to create mismatches. I think Ronnell Lewis is the odd man out at DE. He's shown little this pre-season, and hasn't done squat on special teams, which is why he was selected. Jonte Green and Chris Greenwood should be as good as gone. Green has been terrible this pre-season and has actually been worse than he was during last season. Greenwood just can't stay healthy, and when healthy hasn't progressed. The Amari Spievey project is finally over (Thank GOD!!), and Kickalicious is getting the boot.
