Blueskies:

Where is this demolishing you predicted? 3.5 minutes to go and OSU is threatening to break the tie as I type this. Not demolition here.

2:20 seconds left for the Wolverines to tie it back up.

Brady Hoke Has Brass Balls the Size of a Basket Ball. Going for 2 to win rather than a PAT to tie.

Bad throw by Gardner.

This is our coach: a donut eating idiot who goes for 2. One of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life.

Game over. But, no demolition to be seen here.

I think Hoke is Marty Mornhinweg in disguise. Going for 2 was on the level of taking the wind.

I like the go for it attitude. However, doubt that I would have ever went for 2 there. But, I have always held to the opinion that I will not hold it against a HC for aggressively going for the gusto. I think that 1 qualifies. Anyways, we were supposed to get demolished, so it was bonus that we were even in that situation.

OK, I guess I was overreacting. It wasn't the WORST call, I forgot the starting kicker was out.

That said, I still think it was a bad call. You've put up 41(42) points, you're at home, and the momentum seems to be in your favor. Take your chances in OT.

He definitely left himself open to criticism for the choice. But, the play call was good. Gardner made a horrible throw directly to the defender. Late and over the middle will get you intercepted every time. Saddest thing is, Gardner never looked to his left. He had a wide open target in the end zone on his left.

After thinking about it some more..

Prior to the OSU time out, fine go for it. Looked like they were off guard, they had TO to go down a get a FG, you had momentum.

After Urban Meyer calls the TO? Kick it. Now they're prepared to stop the conversion, but hey, you made them burn a TO so they probably won't win the game in regulation.

Maybe you lose in OT anyway, but at least there's the chance OSU makes a mistake.

except that there s not that much time to think about it. i would ve probably played for OT at home but they got to that point by being aggressive with playcalling and going for 4th downs, dialing up blitzes on defense, etc. he went with a strategy the team rallied behind but give credit to ohio state and its players - they were all over that final playcall it didnt have a chance. tough loss but at least there was some encouraging play particularly from Gardner.

Michigan has a very hard road schedule next year: @OSU, @ND, @MState

I hope Borges at least gets the boot, but I'm not optimistic.

Nice effort Michigan and way to go for the win. Didn't have much to lose, kicker was out, I actually think Hoke made the right call.

As a State fan first, UofM second, I was pretty torn. I haven't seen my Spartans play in the Rose Bowl since I was in E. Lansing (87'). With OSU winning and moving into #2 in the poles State has a great chance of going to Pasadena win or lose now. If the Spartans win, they will be the Big Ten reps at the Rose Bowl. If they lose, OSU plays in the Nat'l Championship leaving MSU as the Big Ten's top rep who can play there.

Obviously I would have preferred UofM beat OSU and then State destroy them. That was one hell of a game!
