Speed is important, but it doesn't translate into skill. Remember the Ismail brothers. Quadray and someone else. What happened to them. How about Joey Galloway, he is fast, but never seems to put a season together.

The other Ismail brother happens to be Rahib, "The Rocket" from Notre Dame. He went to the CFL before a weak NFL career. Both were decent receivers at one time or another but not in the elite category by any means (outside of the Rockets NCAA career).

Joey Galloway was productive in Seattle but he was injury prone once he arrived in Dallas.

Don't discount speed in the Lions plans, in fact it is a major part of their strategy if you start looking at the draft picks over the past few years - they all have one thing in common - speed.

The Lions are a dome team and speed is more important on the turf, or field turf, than grass.

Roy Williams = fast
Charles Rogers = fast
Kevin Jones = fast
Teddy Lehman = fast
Boss Bailey = fast

Yup, there is a trend happening here in Motown.

Thats the truth. It also seems that different clubs have different styles. Do you ever think about what it would look like if the Bears were scoring left and right, 45 pts a game. Or the 49ers being a run down the clock offense, with a workhorse rb running through the tackles.

The Lions don't have an identity yet, but we could be better than the Chiefs last year, not as good of a offense(no Priest holmes), but a much better defense and even on special teams. A lot of things need to happen.
