Who is the best RB prospect in the draft?
We have a little internal dispute to solve here at Lionbacker. I see Michael Morelli picked Ronnie Brown (in his top 10 list) as his choice for top RB prospect while Brian Diez has selected Cedric Benson (in his rankings and scouting report).
Let's see if we can clear this up...

It's so difficult to say...every year you have highly touted people and many seem to dissappear. Guys like Lawerence Philips seemed like a sure thing. Last year blew my mind though cause I felt like K.Jones was clearly the best yet others like Perry were picked before him Benson to me seems like a safer choice I suppose because he has done it every year.

I've got both of them highly rated. With Benson's pedigree however, I just think he is the best prospect in the draft and rated higher than Brown, not that Ronnie is a poor back by any means. I have him in my top 10 list, and as my 2nd best back.
He's just done it better and longer than Ronnie. I like Brown's style however.

I would say Ronnie Brown for the simple fact that Benson never showed up in the big games. Check his yards in the Oklahoma series and take a look at the Rose Bowl. I know that this often means nothing in the pro's, but he has a track record.

100% agree. He still showed up, but he wasn't nearly as effective as he was in other games.
