Well Martin had a heck of a year with him calling plays...worth an interview.

I was disappointed with their passing game this year, Santana Moss in particular (who did nothing to help my fantasy teams)....

Paul Hackett is one of the worst coaches I have ever seen. All he does is inflate QB's completion percentages with his 3-yards in a cloud of dust passing offense. In his four years in NY the Jets never finished higher than 15th in points scored. Case closed.
PS They really miss him at USC too

Hell no. I don't want a coordinator who is even more conservative than Steve Mariucci! Gosh that offense was slow and unproductive!

No way. I thought they had a lethargic offense all year, and the Lions don't need another one of those!!

Hackett is a good coach? Why? He was on the Cowboys when their offense went to hell in the late 80s. He was the head coach at Pitt and he ran that program into the ground. He was at KC where they had home field advantage two years in a row and lost both games by scoring 10 and 13 points because of his conservative play calling. Then he went to USC where before a game against Cal, the players were sunbathing on the field during practice. They lost that game 31-9. When he was at USC, Carson Palmer was considered a bust. Since he left, Palmer has been the first pick in the draft and they have won two National Championships. He went to the Jets and they never finished higher than 15th in scoring offense or 17 in passing offense. Every Jets and Chiefs fan I know can't stand him. So, I ask again, why is he a good coach?

Also, in Hackett's 64 games as Jets' OC, the team scored 20 or more points only 34 times. Then when he had Vinny in there, Hackett had the balls to say, "Once Vinny turned 40, his arm just died. That's it." Of course, Vinny and his dead arm went to Dallas and threw for over 3,500 yards. I'm not saying Vinny is great but that shows what a jerk Hackett is. You want to see what an awful coach he is? Watch what McCareins and Moss do next season under Heimerdinger. He may actually try to get Moss the football instead of throwing two-yard dig routes to Jerald Sowell all game.
