They'll bring in Shaun Alexander in the off-season, and win the NFC West next year.

True, they have had more chances than most.

Their QB will be Josh McCown, who is a RFA, and will be tendered. They may bring someone else in, probably Brad Johnson, but McCown will play.
Arizona doesn't need a QB. They need a RB. They were 6-1 when rushing for 106 yards or more last year. Alexander had 7 games over that mark last year, whereas Smith had 2.
I'm guessing Arizona goes...eh... 10-6 next season. 4 game improvement, NFC West title. San Francisco is going to get into a rebuilding mode, Seattle is losing all their free agents, and the Rams are in complete chaos. Arizona is coming. They beat the Rams and the Seahawks already this season. I don't know what the hell their deal is with San Francisco. If they didn't sweep us, we'd be in the playoffs.

Next year San Fransisco will be in the rebuilding stage? Then what was this year, the "tear-down" stage"? lol

Shipp's nothing more than a third down back, where he can be more effective. He isn't a game changer, and isn't a featured back. He is at his best when his carries are limited. Green realized this from day one, and appointed Emmitt the starter.

Sad to say it but I think that's exactly what last year was for S.F.
