 Bledsoe or Garcia
I have read a report that states Buffalo will release Drew Bledsoe so that they can save $2.2 million on their salary cap, in addition to allowing JP Losman to be the unchallenged starter in camp. Should the Lions pursue Bledsoe or Garcia? The obvious choice is Garcia since he played for Mooch and has the mobility he covets. However, I feel that if Bledsoe can accept a decent price, he would be the better choice to challenge Joey and push him for the starting job. I feel Garcia is done and will not be able to effectively challenge Harrington in camp.
What do you think?

Mobility is a 'nice to have', not a 'need to have'. Garcia didn't show a great arm or accuracy last season for Cleveland. Was it the system or was it just him? A veteran presence is definitely what we need. I doubt Warner will be in the running as he (or is it his wife?) is practically demanding to be put into a situation where he will be the named starter in camp.
Bledsoe to Dallas sounds like a distinct possibility.

I cannot answer this question because it requires too much thought I am all out.
I guess although it's not a fact but my gut is feeling Drew = Starter where as Garcia = Competitor for Starter. Which = Drew = starting money. Also looking at the fact that Garcia and Mooch had their best years together thus far is hard to ignore...it's like reuniting Burt and Lonnie!!!
In the end...what is "Need to have" in a QB? The profile seems to continually change IMO.

Bledsoe is going to Dallas. I don't want that immobile statue in this offense. With the talent Buffalo has on their offense, they should have done better than the NFL's 27th best passing attack. And the man to blame was indeed Bledsoe.

It's still just a rumor at this point but:
1) Tuna doesn't like to start young quarterbacks
2) Tuna is a short-term coach, meaning he doesn't want to sit through the maturation process of an unproven QB (Henson)
3) Tuna and Bledsoe have ties back to their days in NE
Bledsoe also has run a similar offense to what they run in Dallas.
There are some similarities to the situation in Detroit. In the case of Dallas Jerry Jones wants Henson to be the starter but Parcells does not.
