Post Harrington updates
Lionbacker brings you the latest on the Lions starting QB...

1) If you missed Joey on the NFL Network (or if you don't have it), you can check out his interview at the Lionbacker video vault:

http://www.lionbacker.com/?id=team&sub=video

2) We've also updated our player journals to include Joey's latest entries from 8/12 and 8/20, you can check them out:

http://www.lionbacker.com/?id=team&sub=journals

3) Finally, NFL has a column on the NFCN with a blurb about Joey

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/7611057

"Joey Harrington, QB, Detroit
?They're doing all they can for him in the Motor City -- upgrading the offensive line and drafting running backs and wide receivers in the top of the draft. But now it's Harrington who has to do something for Detroit -- win football games. The former third overall selection of the 2003 draft has improved over the past two seasons but still needs to work on not throwing the costly pick. He's also managed to play relatively well despite a running game Lions fans might be used to. Again, that's something that should change this year, as should the passing attack thanks to second-year receiver Charles Rogers and rookie Roy Williams. There are plenty of players to help the offense succeed. All Harrington needs to do is throw.

FYI: The last time the Lions won on the road was Dec. 17, 2000, at the Jets.

RIVALRY FUEL: In two seasons, Harrington is 2-2 against Chicago, 1-3 against Green Bay and 0-4 against Minnesota."

seems a tad high for Joey to me... I put him closer to 20 but hope he can move up the ladder after a strong 2004...

Post TOP TEN FOR SURE!
Joey was a 2nd year quarterback with no running back, no receivers, and a tight and with mutton chops for hands...it's a miracle he didn't retire 1 day before camp! Now he has 4 legit receivers (or better), 1 possible great rb, 1 power back, and an overlooked good TE. Now if only we had a defense!
