 BCS
How is USC ahead of Michigan in the BCS standings when they obviously aren't nearly as good? They have barely beaten unranked teams for three weeks in a row now.

IMO USC is the only grossly over-ranked team left in the top 5. Personally I thought FLA and Auburn were both over-rated. IMO USC sucks and will be exposed before the end of the season. The cream always rises to the top. I really do think U of M is deserving of their national ranking. I just hope we don't do anything stupid like lose a game we should have won before we play OSU.

For 1 day, I am going to be the most rabid Notre Dame fan.
USC vs. Notre Dame Nov. 25 @8PM.

Just take the C out of BCS and you'll have your answer.
Seriously, USC doesn't have a very good defense and are over-rated because of it IMO. However, it seems that that aspect of their team gets overlooked when the writers/coaches vote in the polls.
Don't ask me how the computers had USC ahead of OSU in their rankings, but the machines did. And the computer counts as 1/3 of the BCS rankings. Go figure.

Yeah, its pure bull alright. On espn.com, they were projecting osu versus either auburn or usc.

Yeah, that makes sense...because we all know that a team that's played 2 games less than everyone else should be ranked in the top 5

Actually I live within the shadow of Notre Dame, and they are the most grossly over ranked team.
Look at their schedule and tell me why, they may face the winner of this Saturday for the NC.
3 games - service acadamies - Army, Navy, Air Force ( not strong schools)
1 game - North Carolina - another school not known for strong football
Stanford - is the West Coast version of NC, never a strong football contender
Based on these 5 games alone I don't believe ND should be considered for NC. Wisconsin has a stronger schedule, and only 1 loss. What's up with that?
Now throw in all the other 1 loss teams and their strength of schedules.
Man I dislike the BCS, what good does it really do, except benefit ND each year?

Plus they were lucky to win the Georgia Tech and MSU games, they could very easily have three loses. Agree with the Wisconsin analogy, I think this is a team that has been over looked. I think an interesting matchup would be Wisconsin against Rutgers, just to give us an ideal of how Rutgers would matchup against a team most of us are familar with.
