 Allen Iverson to Denver!
Allen Iverson is on his way to the Denver Nuggets!
Per ESPN.
Details to follow.
All I can say is it's good he's not coming to Detroit, IMO.

I would have liked to see him in Detroit honestly. He's not really a locker room cancer and a great baller. He spreads the ball out, scores points, and is tough as hell. He would be a good player in Detroit IMO.

Iverson almost came to Detroit a few years ago, but for some reason the deal got nixed. I personally like Allen as a player. He gives his all when he is on the court, and that is all anyone can ask for.
As for his move to Denver : I like it! The Nuggets will need his scoring w/ Anthony missing 15 games. I honestly do not see an issue w/ him and Carmelo playing together when Anthony comes back, either. The problem is the Nuggets still aren't better then the Spurs, Suns, or Mavericks.
As for Philly, they get a good PG in Miller. An expiring Joe Smith contract. And 2 1st round picks in the upcoming draft that will give them 3 total in the 1st round in a draft that a lot of experts are saying is going to be the deepest one as far as talent goes in the last 10 years. I think Billy King did a good job of getting an extra 1st rounder....

Dumars was asked last week about Iverson and about that trade that almost happened...they asked was it a reality...
Joe said, "It was done..."
But Matt Geiger cried out of it...probably for the better. But at this point I think Detroit does need to do something if they want to win a championship. Unfortunately or fortunately we would have to gut the team for a move like that. I would rather bring in a proven big man but I do love watching Iverson.

I wanted to see him here too... I don't really like Chauncy... He's too slow and he's a HORRIBLE defender... I think we could have dumped off some picks, threw in Billups, and had a win-win situation for both teams... It would have gotten us out of having to re-sign him next year too....
And... With thier speed and ability, I think Rip and Iverson would be SICK together!...

Denver Airport shut down due to a blizzard. Iverson will have to wait a couple more days before making his Nuggets debut.
_________________ Fisher or Joekel or Lane Johnson for #5 overall. I have settled on Johnson as my preference. The only thing Joekel and Fisher have over him is experience at LT. 2 years from now, Lane Johnson will be known as the best LT of this draft!

Personally I think this is an amazing deal for Philly, someone said Iverson isnt really a lockeroom cancer? Well, he was there and there is deffinatly no denying that hopefully he wont be in Denver but he was a cancer in Philly for sure and for one of the NBA's worst teams to be able to pick up 2 extra first rounders in the upcoming draft is a dream come true. I don't know the details of the 2 from the nuggets but their own has a very good chance at being a very high pick seeing as how they are likely to have one of the (if not the) worst records in the NBA giving them the most chances in the lottery. This is a great oppertunity for them to get a fresh start next year using those 3 picks to really build the foundation for that teams future. If only the Lions could make such a deal with someone
