 Texans-Lions prediction
here we go.
Lions-Joey and the oline is confused by the texans 3-4 pass rush and joey throws for less than 150 yards, 2 interceptions and 1 fumble. kj does not improve rushing and runs for less than 60 yards less again than 3.0 ypc. after a turnover deep in texans territory, pinner pounds the rock in to the endzone for the lions only td of the day. the turnover will be a fumble. Hanson goes 2/3 in fieldgoals. his miss will have enough leg but will be wide.
Texans- Dominic Davis runs wild for over 150 gaining almost 200 yards rushing and at least 1 td. carr throws for 300 yards and at least 1 touchdown. Between davis and carr they have 4 touchdowns. texans also get a fg. Texans defense forces 4 turnovers as texans destroy lions 31-13.
LETS HOPE IM COMPLETELY WRONG

 3 - 4
The 3 - 4 defense is no problem. They are played against Pitt and Buffalo in the preseason who both play a 3 - 4, not to mention Joey has faced it a number of times in previous years. I see this defense as an opportunity for our running game to find space and the speed of our receivers to exploiot.
GO LIONS!

As a football person you have to go against a new team...as a Lions fan you have to have all sorts of doubts about this. The Texans are better than Chicago yet we were practically begging Chicago to steal a game we should have had well in hand. We really didn't win...we escaped a loss. If we just stomped Chi-Town that would be one thing...but we did not.
Lions - 22
Texans - 21
But...I am still a homer

I agree with thealphamale
Houston is no Chicago. They have just as much if not more talent than Chicago does. If Thomas Jones played well against us, think of how a talented back like Davis could do.
It should be interesting us playing at home, and Houston coming off a loss at home to the dismal San Diego Chargers...WOW
Houston was 0-5 last season against teams with a winning record at home. Detroit was 3-1 last season at home against opponents .500 or below. (Only loss to San Diego, coincidence?)
Judging by those stats, Detroit SHOULD win the game, and the oddsmakers have us favored, surprisingly. I'll take Detroit at home, 17-14, but i'm not too confident about this game as I was a week ago.

BTW, Houston has lost 4 straight games (including pre-season) and 8 of their last 9.

Houston is also 4-12 lifetime on the road, 0-4 against the NFC.
Unlike Brian, I am more confident about this game - cause it's at HOME!
I don't care if it was the Bears last week - it was on the ROAD...
The Lions ARE a much better home team, always have been.
Give me Detroit, 27 - 20...

I'm having a hard time keeping my fingernails after these games!
Figured a win, but Carr was hitting everything in the 2nd half. He isn't bad, but the Oline is and penalties are killing them.
But that was the same thing last week. Hehehehe
