That's right, a #1 pick and the biggest bonus pool. Best news all season!

Now, if Vmart retires, Kinsler is traded, and Iggy is traded, I'll be happy

Add 1 hope that Justin Upton opts out. I think we had to swallow some money if he doesn't opt out.
Also,the expected 1st overall pick is a SS. But, there is still a lot of time for that to change. I love the fact that the Tigers will get 5 of the top 121 players.

I know we paid some of the salary for this year, but didn't eat anything in the coming years on the deal, whether he opts or not.

kind of weird they got the top pick, they were hovering near respectability for a while before brutal nose dive finish. they had many years where they seemed awful start to finish and didnt get the top pick
