I prefer an edge rusher here. But, if we go offense, CK Metcalf should be the guy.

Gotta walk that back on Metcalf. Apparently, all his speed is straight line. His change of direction sucks.

So many defensive players that I am Greedy for though.

Definitely defense. And I think with Patricia, (finally) those 3/4 edge rushers aren't off the table because of the different looks we present.

I wonder if that Lions staff member's line about their DBs needing to tackle changes now that Greedy ran sub 4.4. 6'3" with that kind of speed has to make you think maybe you can just teach him to be a little better at tackling. To bad he left with cramps, would have been nice to see how his agility and explosion would have measured.

The LBs and Edge rushers measured FAST this year. I'm not saying they should ignore offense, but you know they should ignore offense.

Just think how mad you will be when they draft a pass catcher and pass on those defenders...

better at tackling

This! The Lions put a premium on their DB's tackling, Greedy might not fit the bill as much as I would love to pair Slay with another stud corner. I think they go another route.

Sweat's record breaking 40-time (4.41) along with his size/length make him an intriguing prospect. Only one RB at the combine could best his time - incredible. UofM's Gary had an impressive time as well (4.53), 3rd fastest DL which will only help him. I think the guy sandwiched between the two, Florida States Brian Burns (5.53) could be in play for the Lions at 8 if they go edge.

Quinnen Williams, at 300+ pounds ran an impressive 4.83 - I'd honestly look to take him over Bosa at the top of the draft.

Unless they trade down and based on need/value I think the Lions are certainly going defense, likely DL with LB and outside chance unless they want to piss off everyone and take a TE (Hockenson). Bosa and Williams will be off the board, so I think they will be looking at Burns, Gary, and Sweat as Edge guys with LB Devin White from LSU as an interesting guy to add to the LB mix.

Rd 1: TE
Rd 2: trade to Pats for their practice pads and 6 throwback jerseys
Rd 3: corner prospect that does not pan out
Rd 4: o-line depth
Rd 5: slot receiver

You heard it here first.

If Zedrick Woods, Safety, Old Miss is still on the board at our 2nd round pick, that’s my guy.

Even with Flowers in the fold, I wouldn't hate using the pick on another dline player.

Agree. Gotta go with value. BPA at that spot I would think, regardless of position. I'm afraid that picking at 8 we could be on the cusp of being in the SOL club and just missing out on the really good players that also fill a need.
