Culpepper is damaged goods. How good was he last year without Moss? How good will he be without his ability to scramble and move in the pocket? Minnesota might looking up good with a second rounder and dumping his salary. _________________ ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. His salary was pretty low - $4M I think. That's not bad for a QB in his prime who's a perennial PB'er. _________________ 6-10 next season |

MN swallowed his SB bonus money. 4 million is cheap if he plays at a pro bowl level. My guess is that he will not. If you saw any games with him last year he was the exact opposite of the top 3 player he was a year before. Rather than making plays and dominating, he was putting the team into a hole. _________________ ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. | I agree with Yorick that Minnesota wanted to dump his salary. Not especially for this season, but for the next 7 years of his contract. Culpepper's base salary for this year is only $1M, but it included a roster bonus of $6M that the Dolphins restructured following the trade. His base salary for the remaining years are: 2007 = $5.5M, 2008 = $6M, 2009 = $6M, 2010 = $7M, 2011 = $8M, 2012 = $9M, and 2013 = $10M. |

| gotta believe that joey's chances to start are entirely dependent on culpepper's health. i would say that culpepper has maybe a 65% shot to be healthy enough to play when the season starts. after that it will depend on culpepper's play and saban's tolerance level. between culpepper's injury and inconsistent play in 2005 plus saban's willingness to find out who his best player's are I bet that Joey does receive a few chances on the field to prove himself. |

Seen that Marcus Vick signed with the Phins. Very unlikely but mabey Saban gives him a shot it Cullypepa is hurt.
Joey might have a relapse at Phins qb school and Marcus is named the starter. _________________ Earliest lions memory. 91 playoff win. |
